Renee Fitzgerald-Palacio is an accomplished professional with a background in public education and nonprofit leadership. A native of the greater Cleveland area, Renee is dedicated to supporting economic development and historic preservation within Ohio’s communities, particularly Painesville, where she serves as the Executive Director of their accredited Heritage Ohio and Main Street program, Downtown Painesville.
Renee holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Grove City College and a Master’s in Educational Administration from Cleveland State University. She is passionate about making a positive impact and fostering sustainable growth in local communities. In addition to her role in Painesville, Renee contributes to the strategic vision and initiatives of the Painesville Arts & Culture Council and Heritage Ohio Board of Directors.
With valuable experience as a historian, former principal, and superintendent of schools, Renee brings a wealth of expertise to her roles. She is also an avid domestic and international traveler, which enriches her perspective and approach to community development and preservation.
