Mayor of the City of Newark, Newark

Mayor Hall was born and raised in Newark and is a fourth-generation resident of the community. He attended McGuffey Elementary School, Roosevelt Junior High School, and completed the Newark Public School System by graduating with honors from Newark High School. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a minor in Information Technology, and furthered his education by earning his Master’s degree in Accounting from The Ohio State University.

Jeff and his wife, Helen, reside in Newark where he was sworn in as the 68th Mayor of Newark on January 1, 2012, and is currently serving his fourth term. Prior to serving in his role as Mayor, he was the Newark City Treasurer and worked for a large public accounting firm in Columbus gaining extensive knowledge in the financial industry.
