141 East Main Street sits prominently at Ashland’s entrance to downtown. During reviews on Ashland’s National Register Historic District nomination, the discussion focused in on the significance of the1950s aluminum screen and the impact removal would have on this two-story 1920s terracotta building. As the building’s new owner, Scott Donley was excited to see what was underneath. They found the building in fairly good shape and the Patroness of Commerce at the top was restored. Funding of the project was assisted by a CDBG Downtown Revitalization Grant.
This award was presented to Good Deed Entertainment and Simonson Construction.
