Built in 1962, the Medical Associates Building was designed by Ohio’s first African-American registered architect Robert P. Madison. Organizations including the Famicos Foundation, FRONT, and the Cleveland Foundation stepped in to bring this building back to life. The building was then converted from a deteriorating structure to a newly furnished apartment complex.

This award was presented to the Famicos Foundation and City Architecture.
